The BKGN activities that have the theme of "Merdeka from Gigi Berlubang" want to educate Indonesian families to get regular dental check up, so that the dental and mouth health will be maintained. In this event, it targets the 1,250 participants who participated in this BKGN for three days (23-25 October 2017) in Denpasar, to see the extent of dental and mouth health of children and society, thus avoiding cavities. Based on the research, Indonesian children are very fond of consuming sweet and sticky snacks, so it is estimated that every year it is indicated that the risk of cavities increases annually by four percent. so the type of snack that is becoming a trend and is often consumed by the community is at greater risk of raising cavities problems. "To that end, we provide understanding to parents to be wise to give snacks to children and provide healthy snacks that balanced nutritious for teething," he said. Meanwhile, the Dean of Faculty of Dentistry Mahasaraswati University, Dr drg Dewa Made Wedagama, Sp.KG said, free dental examination for three days is aimed to prevent cavities. "Every year BKGN is a moment to remind Indonesian families to check their dental health regularly, so we prepare 60 dental health workers consisting of dentist lecturers and specialist dentists and FKG Unmas students who help Denpasar people get their dental health care" said the Vedas.
