Thanks to this, up to 50 million liters of water or 2.6 million kWh of electricity can be saved annually. IF NEVER CHANGE, WE WILL NEED 2050 TO NEED FIVE PLANET The Sustainability Champion brings a sample hour to the 3rd and 4th year of elementary schools where children learn how to play, how they can easily save water, energy, or reduce waste. An interactive lesson, led by employees of Henkel Slovakia, gives children practical instructions on how to save the environment by: they turn off water when they do not need it (for example, when washing teeth), light turns off every time I leave the room, Turn off the TV completely (it is not enough to whip the controller because the TV is in the standby mode and still consumes electricity); they close the refrigerator as soon as they choose the food, use instead of a disposable kitchen towel rather than a textile, use towels so that they do not run right into the washing basket. ""If we do not change the current lifestyle, we will need five planets to live in 2050. It is important that we all behave in a sustainable manner towards our planet. Every one of us can influence it. That's why we've decided to show kids where they can help the environment and inspire parents and siblings to behave the same way, ""explains Henkel, President of Christian Schulz. ""As our employees are our most important resource in creating more sustainable solutions and raising awareness of the subject, we have decided to create a program that will enable them to become ambassadors,"" Ch. Schulz. 5-THOUSAND CHILDREN HOW TO MANAGE ENVIRONMENTALLY SAVINGS Volunteers, employees of Henkel, are introducing a special "" Sustainability champions. At the same time, they get all the bases for an interactive hour, such as an animated video with a globe. With the help of the lessons learned, pupils become small ambassadors who spread the theme of sustainability in their own family, household and surroundings. ""For this year, we set the goal to learn the sustainability principles of 3,000 children. We had this ambition already in June. We motivate our employees to return to their school, meet former teachers, and take a useful lesson with their children. The number of our active ambassadors has already exceeded 100, and today we can proudly say that we have crossed the border of 5,000 children. We are trying to say that by the end of the year we will move to 5,500 trained children, ""says Christian Schulz. THE HOST OF SUSTAINABILITY CAN BE ORDERED TO EVERY SCHOOL Learning about sustainability and ecology can be both entertaining and useful at the same time, and the pupils at the Nobel Primary School 6 in Bratislava were also convinced. ""We are becoming more and more aware of the importance of sustainability in school. That is why we welcomed the initiative of Henkel Slovakia to organize an interactive teaching lesson in our country. Pupils enjoyed it very well and playfully recognized the resources and importance of saving any energy in the interest of nature conservation. I believe that the knowledge they have acquired today will be further developed and used in everyday life, both at home and in the school environment, ""Valéria Fogašová, the school's principal assesses. Each Primary School in Slovakia can enter the Sustainability Championship project through a website set up by Henkel Slovakia, www.sampioni.sk. The web contains all the project information, including a quiz in which you test your knowledge.
