July soda ash exports rose by 20% year on year and by 25% month on month. Mexico was the US top export destination in July, followed by Brazil and Indonesia. The US is a net exporter of soda ash. Meanwhile, July soda ash imports were down by 61% year on year and by 22% month on month. July is the most recent month for which data are available. Major producers of US natural soda ash are Genesis Alkali, Tata Chemicals, Ciner Resources and Solvay.
